In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Add ground sausage, cooking until browned.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
Break lasagna noodles into pieces and add to the pot.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until noodles are tender.
Stir in heavy cream and ricotta cheese until well combined.
Add shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, mixing until melted.
Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
