Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add ground sausage, cooking until browned.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  • Break lasagna noodles into pieces and add to the pot.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until noodles are tender.
  • Stir in heavy cream and ricotta cheese until well combined.
  • Add shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, mixing until melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh basil before serving.
