Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, milk, ketchup, eggs, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Mix the ingredients until well combined but do not overmix.
  • Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it on a piece of parchment paper.
  • Transfer the meatloaf to the smoker.
  • Smoke the meatloaf for about 1.5 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • Brush the top with barbecue sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Remove the meatloaf from the smoker and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Slice and serve warm.
