Peel and slice the peaches, placing them in a large mixing bowl.
Add the granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice to the peaches.
Gently toss the mixture until the peaches are well coated.
Pour the peach filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
Cover with a second pie crust, sealing the edges and making slits for steam to escape.
