Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 package of rye or pumpernickel bread slices
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Add cream cheese to the skillet and mix until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Spread the mixture onto slices of rye or pumpernickel bread.
  • Place the topped bread slices on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
