Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Spread the mixture onto slices of rye or pumpernickel bread.
Place the topped bread slices on a baking sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
