Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 pound baby potatoes halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash the green beans and baby potatoes thoroughly under cold water.
  • Trim the ends of the green beans and halve the baby potatoes.
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  • Add the baby potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, add the green beans to the pot.
  • Cook both vegetables for an additional 5-7 minutes until tender.
  • Drain the vegetables and return them to the pot.
  • In a small skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Pour the garlic oil over the vegetables, season with salt and pepper, and toss gently.
