Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh green beans trimmed
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
  • Add the green beans and blanch for 5 minutes.
  • Drain the green beans and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  • Add garlic and onion powders if using, and mix well.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly combined.
  • Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir to coat.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Top with crispy fried onions evenly across the surface.
