Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion in a bit of oil until golden brown.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, sautéed onions, garlic, egg, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
