Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs; mix until combined.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
