Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cooked pasta penne or rotini
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Olive oil for greasing

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread half of the chicken mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle ½ cup of mozzarella cheese over the first layer.
  • Add the remaining chicken mixture on top of the cheese.
  • Top with the remaining mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
