Wash and slice the strawberries, setting some aside for garnish.
In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Whip the mixture until it forms soft peaks.
Dip each ladyfinger briefly in the cooled coffee.
Layer the bottom of a serving dish with dipped ladyfingers.
Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Add a layer of sliced strawberries on top of the mascarpone.
Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mascarpone.
Dust the top with cocoa powder.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
