Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks 1-inch thick
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme chopped
  • Vegetables for grilling e.g., asparagus, bell peppers
  • 1 lemon for garnish
  • 1 cup red wine optional, for pairing
  • Butter for basting

Instructions

  • Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your grill to high heat.
  • Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle olive oil and rub it into the steak.
  • In a small bowl, mix garlic, rosemary, and thyme; rub this mixture onto the steaks.
  • Place the steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving them.
  • Flip the steaks and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.
  • Add a pat of butter on top and baste the steaks for flavor.
  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
