Ingredients

  • 500 g bread flour
  • 300 ml water
  • 100 g active sourdough starter
  • 10 g salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Tomato sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings pepperoni, veggies, etc.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  • Dissolve the sourdough starter in warm water, then add to the flour mixture.
  • Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
  • Form the dough into a ball and place it in a lightly oiled bowl.
  • Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 3-4 hours.
  • Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F) with a pizza stone inside.
  • Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into two equal parts.
  • Roll out each part on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  • Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet.
  • Spread tomato sauce, add cheese and toppings, then bake for 10-15 minutes.
