Ingredients

  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 cup smoked sausage sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil water in a large pot and cook the rotini pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add sliced smoked sausage to the skillet and sauté until browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine with the sausage.
  • Reduce heat and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the pasta.
  • Cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste, stirring gently.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh basil.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious dish!
