Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sauerkraut
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add sauerkraut to the skillet, mixing well with onions and garlic.
  • Sprinkle in caraway seeds, black pepper, and salt.
  • Add shredded carrots and mix until well combined.
  • Drizzle apple cider vinegar over the mixture and stir.
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley.
