Brew one cup of strong espresso or coffee.
In a saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until warm, stirring continuously.
Add the brewed espresso to the saucepan and mix well.
In another pot, steam the milk until frothy.
Slowly pour the steamed milk into the pumpkin-espresso mixture.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
Pour into mugs and top with whipped cream.
Sprinkle with ground cinnamon for garnish.
