Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
  • Fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  • In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, and sugar over medium heat.
  • Stir until the sugar dissolves, but do not let it boil.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm cream mixture and stir until completely dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into individual serving molds or cups.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  • To serve, gently run a knife around the edges of the molds.
  • Invert onto a plate and garnish with fresh berries.
  • Drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.
