Gather all ingredients on a clean surface.
Slice the mini rolls in half without cutting all the way through.
Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise or mustard on each half.
Layer a piece of cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
Add a slice of your chosen deli meat on top of the cheese.
Place a lettuce leaf on the meat.
Add a slice of tomato and any other toppings.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Close the sandwich and secure with a toothpick.
Repeat the process until all rolls are filled.
