Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or favorite pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 15 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Season the beef with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Once browned, drain excess fat from the skillet.
  • Mix in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, allowing to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the beef sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
