Pour the buttermilk into another bowl.
Dip each fillet into the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
Carefully place the coated fillets into the pan.
Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the fish and place it on paper towels to drain excess oil.
