Cut each slice of bread into thirds to create sticks.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
Add sugar to the mixture and stir until dissolved.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter.
Dip each bread stick in the egg mixture, coating well.
Place coated sticks in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess butter.
Repeat with remaining sticks, adding more butter as needed.
Serve warm with maple syrup and fresh fruit.
