Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
Cover the pitcher with a lid or plastic wrap.
Let the mixture steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours.
Prepare a fine mesh strainer or coffee filter.
Pour the coffee mixture through the strainer to separate the grounds.
Discard the used coffee grounds.
Serve the cold brew over ice, adding milk or sweetener if desired.
