Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh fruits for topping strawberries, blueberries, kiwi
  • Edible flowers optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Mix in the melted butter and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, mixing gently.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Once the cake is completely cool, spread whipped cream on top and decorate with fresh fruits and edible flowers.
