Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  • Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  • Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, coating evenly.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Place the fried chicken in a baking dish.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast, then top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
