Rinse the broccolini under cold water to remove any dirt.
Trim the ends of the stems, about 1 inch off.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the broccolini to the boiling water and blanch for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the broccolini and plunge it into an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Drain the broccolini and add it to the skillet.
Toss the broccolini with garlic, seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
Drizzle with lemon juice and serve warm.
