Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of broccolini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  • Rinse the broccolini under cold water to remove any dirt.
  • Trim the ends of the stems, about 1 inch off.
  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Add the broccolini to the boiling water and blanch for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the broccolini and plunge it into an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Drain the broccolini and add it to the skillet.
  • Toss the broccolini with garlic, seasoning with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice and serve warm.
