Gather all ingredients: ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of ketchup with 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar.
Add 1/4 cup of brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
Mix in 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and 1 tablespoon of mustard.
Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of onion powder.
Add 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika for a depth of flavor.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Once simmering, reduce heat to low and let it cook for 20 minutes.
