Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
Mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
Rub the spice mixture over both sides of each pork chop.
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh thyme before serving.
