Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika optional
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the russet potatoes.
  • Cut the potatoes into evenly sized sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Soak the potato sticks in cold water for at least 30 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Toss the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, and optional spices.
  • Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, then shake the basket.
  • Continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove the fries and serve hot.
